MCS Clay Studios is geared toward being creative with clay. We offer a welcoming and supportive environment for clay artists, and have an inclusive, respectful environment for all people. We work to promote ceramic art by contributing to and engaging the Clearwater community. We strive to encourage personal and artistic growth, the exchange of ideas, and to foster collaboration.

Time: 2 hours, one day a week, for six weeks.

TRY SOMETHING NEW
Intro to Hand Building will be an opportunity for students to work with clay as an art medium. Each student will become familiar with the basic methods of construction, decoration, vocabulary, techniques.
Sculpture/Hand Building will be an opportunity for students to work in clay to create sculptural art pieces. Learn the basics of sculpture to gain confidence in creating amazing sculptures. Start small and GO BIG.

Relax in our comfortable clay studio and let your creativity flow. Our knowledgeable staff will give you as much attention as you need to learn about clay and complete your project. Your glazed and fired piece will be ready to pick up in about three weeks.

MCS Clay Studios is a working pottery/art studio where technique and creativity are nurtured. We offer pottery classes, dedicated studio spaces, and member at large opportunities. MCS Clay Studios offers the practiced potter spacious work areas, top of the line Shimpo wheels, slab roller, glazes and firing. Studio membership is for everyone–from the questioning beginner, to the off and on hobbyist, to the experienced potter producing work for sale.
Studios and Members at Large
MCS Clay Studios offer a variety of different options for studio potter membership packages for seasoned clay artists who do not wish to take classes and need a professional ceramic/clay studio space to work in independently. Monthly studio rental options are available.
